London June 2017 Day 2 – From Leicester Square to Hungerford Bridge

In the first half of June 2017 we were in London once again.

I start with day 2 of our stay, because on day 1 we spent much of the day with our friends Laura Porter and her daughter at their home. It had not been our intention to stay that long, but as it is with friends you rarely see we talked about a lot of things and time went fast ;) Afterwards Hermann and I went to Paddington Station to receive our Tep device.

Our first destination on day 2 was the Lego Store on Leicester Square where they had many London landmarks etc. built from Lego. Then we took a walk through China Town, Shaftsbury Avenue to Picadilly Circus, Regent Street, Waterloo Place, The Mall, Trafalgar Square, through Embankment Station onto Hungerford Bridge.

We stopped at the memorial of Giro, the dog of former German ambassador Leopold von Hoesch to commemorate our own little dog Flash who we had lost to cancer only about one month before.
